EXTERNAL ROTATIONS IN OUR DEPARTMENT

Our Department receives numerous requests for external rotations from centres in our Autonomous Community as well as from other national and international centres. We are proud to be able to contribute to the better training of residents from other institutions.

These applications come from the Teaching Commissions of each of the applicant hospitals and are managed by the teaching secretariat. Once they have been validated by the Chairman of the Teaching Committee, they are passed on to the heads of the teaching units of destination, who may accept or reject the application, depending mainly on the availability of teaching resources.

How to apply for an external rotation in our Department

With the new regulations regarding the digital accreditation of public employees, we have established the following guidelines, depending on the employment background of the external residents:

•    External residents from public hospitals outside the Valencian Community: they must provide a certificate from their hospital of origin, stating that the resident is contracted there at the time of the rotation, the start and end date of the contract and the public ownership of the centre of origin. With this certificate, the IT and Telecommunications Service of our Department will assign them an email address@gva.es. Then, at the PRU point of the General Services of the Hospital (basement of the Faculty of Medicine, next to the Hospital Clínico Universitario) you will be provided with the CEP (Public Employee Certificate).

•    Residents from private hospitals (in the Valencian Community or outside the Valencian Community): the resident's hospital of origin must contact the ACCV (Certification Authority of the Valencian Community), which must generate a certificate belonging to company

•    Residents from public hospitals in the Valencian Community: our Centre provides them with the CEP.

Request for face-to-face/virtual appointments with teaching managers

Before applying for an external rotation in one of our services or once it has been accepted, if you are interested in contacting the corresponding teaching staff, you can request a face-to-face/virtual appointment.

The secretary of the Teaching Commission will organise this interview and will propose alternative dates and times.

The objectives of these interviews are:

Get to know in person our teaching staff in the service of destination.
•        Receive information on the content and teaching objectives of the rotation.
•        Share concerns or establish contact with the residents of the department in which we are going to rotate.

You can request an interview by sending an email to docenciaresis_hcv@gva.es
